Improving genome assemblies by combined 10XGenomics and nanopore technology

This project’s aim was to generate an improved reference genome of potato (Solanum tuberosum Phureja DM) using long read sequencing (nanopore) in combination with long range linked read sequencing (10X Genomics). Obtained sequences were be used for de-novo assembly, scaffolding as well as gap filling in order to create a higher quality reference genome.
