The complete genomes of two economically relevant plant species; tomato and potato were sequenced using a 3GS technology. The data was integrated with available NGS data for de novo genome assembly. Goal was to share 3GS expertise, wet-lab protocols and bioinformatics pipelines with the commercial partners in the Virtual Lab for Plant Breeding Association. After completion of the project and validation of the results, protocols and pipelines will be made available in the public domain.
